Pixi by Petra Skintreats Review
Pixi by Petra Skintreats Review
When I think of Pixi Skincare, I think of good-for-you skincare products to create more vibrant healthy radiant skin while avoiding harsh chemicals. The cult favourite Glow Tonic has taken the beauty world by storm, but skincare enthusiasts will be pleased to find many other star products from the Pixi by Petra Skintreats range.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum Review
Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum (£26)*
Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum* is a serum packed with nutrients to soften the skin with jojoba oil and to calm with aloe vera. This is a super light weight and milky that provides minimal moisture. It is best applied on clean moist skin. This comes with a dropper applicator, which isn't the best especially when its about to run out, and I would apply three drops to cover my face and neck. It works well on my combination skin and I have not noticed any break outs. I doubt it would provide enough hydration for dry skin types though, and may cause tingling or irritation to sensitive skins. I tend to use this at night before bed, but for best results, Pixi suggests using this twice a day. It's not the best serum I've tried and not that revolutionary, but is well priced for the product you get.
If you're a fan of the cult favourite Pixi Glow Tonic, you would love Pixi Glow Tonic To Go*. These are pre-soaked exfoliating toner pads packed with goodies like 5% Glycolic Acid and cooling aloe vera and ginseng. The exfoliator pads lightly scrub against the skin, allowing the product to penetrate the skin better. I use this on freshly cleansed skin, prior to applying the milky serum. Each pack comes with 60 pads and I personally use one a day (particularly at night), so one tub should last you two months. I would recommend this to oilier skin types who love using toners. Soaked pads are much better for travelling too. Overall, I highly recommend this product.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist Review
Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist (£18)*
This Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist* is a lightweight moisturising mist with oat to calm the skin and provitamin A and lanoleic acid to nourish. I apply three spritzes of this after serum at night to provide some moisture. It would not provide sufficient hydration for dry skin types but oily and combination skin would love this. It has not caused me any irritation or break outs. It gives you glowy healthy skin. I do love this but it is not an essential. It is more moisturising than MAC Fix Plus.
If you have oily or acne-prone skin, you have to try clay masks. They soak up traces of dirt and impurities with kaolin clay to reveal clearer skin. Pixi Glow Mud Mask* also has soothing aloe vera, brightening ginseng, and moisturising jojoba. Pixi suggests leaving this on clean skin for 15 minutes avoiding the eye area. Rinse off before the clay turns crispy, and pat dry. You will find more radiant skin underneath. I love it!

Loving Our Pixi Skintreats

What could be more exciting than my new Louboutin lipstick?

A brand spanking new Lipliner to make it pop!

I have just purchased this new Lipliner and boy does it add a whole new dimension to this lipstick.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Honey Lip Pencil Review Swatches
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Honey Lip Pencil

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Honey Lip Pencil is a gorgeous plum coloured lipliner that yet again I had no intention of purchasing but entering Charlotte Tilbury I found myself like a kid in a candy store and walked out with my very first ever purchase from them. After swatching most of the store I can see what all the fuss is about. Charlotte Tilbury have great quality products at the high end range. The packaging, as always, looks chic.

Christian Louboutin Zoulou Lipstick

Lip lining is definitely 'in vogue' currently with celebs such as Kylie Jenner bringing this bold lips trend into the spotlight. Personally, I have never really been one to use lipliners. Most experiences have found them difficult to apply - scratching my lips and making my lips look fake. This Charlotte Tilbury one has made me see them in a new light - a very easy application, blends well and really intensifies my current favourite lipstick. It DEFINITELY creates an impression of larger, plumper and fuller lips.

I have been trialling it with other lipsticks and I've found it is a very versatile shade and works with shades from medium pink to deep plum shades. The intensity really varies too with how much blending you do and honestly the colour of this liner is so pretty, it even looks great on it's own with fully filled lips. And to top it off it is long wearing - whilst I'm starting to realise that I need to top up my lipstick after every encounter with food and drink - the lip liner definitely lasts longer.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Honey Lip Pencil provides a good base for lipsticks however in this combination with the Louboutin Zoulou Lipstick I prefer just lining and blending into the lips and topping with lipstick. Liplining is something I will definitely doing more of after this great product - let's just hope my bank account can survive it.

Match Made in Heaven: Christian Louboutin Zoulou Lipstick and Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Honey Lipliner

Wella SP Luxe Oil Review
Wella SP Luxe Oil

If you're looking for a hair oil that feels lightweight and makes your hair look and smell amazing, Wella Luxe Oil* is definitely for you. I'm a big fan of hair oils to make my locks soft and shiny and Wella Luxe Oil* has been my go-to for the last year.

Wella Luxe Oil* contains 3 famous oils: Argan, Almond and Jojoba to nourish the hair and lock in moisture without weighing it down or making hair feel greasy. It's an oil with a medium consistency that smells so divine. It reminds me of a bakery and lasts through the day.

It is safe to use on wet and dry hair. And I especially love using this on damp hair, prior to blow drying. You only need a few drops, I use two to three pumps for my long hair, and the bottle lasts for ages.

Compared to L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil, Wella Luxe Oil* feels lighter on the strands and more moisturising.

I'm sad my current bottle of Wella Luxe Oil* is on its last drops, but this hair oil is soo good and I will definitely repurchase.

Revlon All In One Mascara Review
Revlon All In One Mascara Review

I'm rather picky when it comes to mascaras. My slightly tubby Oriental eyelids don't give me enough flexibility in terms of what mascara I use, and I often find to have coated my lids along with my lashes on application. I've found best results with short bristled mascara wands hence Loreal Telescopic Mascara has been a sure fave for sometime.

Revlon has recently launched their Revlon All In One Mascara which claims to be an all rounder. Watching Michelle Keegan's advert on it, which is obviously pre-prepared and not off the cuff, I must admit I was a little bit intrigued and decided to go for a lil shop.

The Revlon All In One Mascara has miniature bristles with also a miniature length. Its about the size of a small cardamom pod. Its rounded shape curls the lashes while the formula lengthens with mini fibres. Its small size allows you to coat the extreme ends of your lash lines, which you don't often get to do with the larger wands.

It's layerable and I tend to give myself 2-3 coats for my desired effect - thick, lengthy, very black lashes.

Because of the smaller wand, it does take longer to apply a full coat, but I'm willing to forego that for better precision.

The formula is gorgeous. No flaking or smudging, and it does seem to hold a curl well.

For a top tip on using this: prior to brushing on the lashes, inspect the brush for bits of stray fibres or lashes. Gently remove these as they can poke you in the eye.

I'm sad to let Loreal Telescopic Mascara go from my fave mascara spot, but I'm super glad to have found a new fave in Revlon All In One Mascara. I would definitely recommend to all, especially for ladies with hooded / tubby eyelids.
