Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review |
Beauty blenders are one of the most talked about new makeup tools on the market currently. After all the hype, I decided to try it out for myself.
Looking online there are a lot of choices for beauty blenders and similar sponge type products.
The original patented BeautyBlender will set you back roughly £12-18 depending on retailer. I decided on a cheaper alternative - the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge at a bargain price of £4.99 from Amazon.
I have always been a fan of Real Techniques loving their makeup tool which have been tried and tested by MUAs and the reviews were short of excellent.
This orange sponge has been ergonomically designed for maximal base coat blending and sculpting. A flat edge to contour around the eyes & nose, the side to blend large areas of face and the tip to cover imperfections.
Having used a foundation brush or fingers to apply foundation in the past I was amazed at how light and even the coverage was. (I am a huge fan of the no makeup look)
Top Tip: wet the sponge for a maximal light and airbrush cover effect!
I was instantly in love with this product and the price.

Therefore overall I would rate this product 3/5. Great effect but poor quality.

I had this sponge and loved it, then I decided to try the original and oh my goodness I love it even more! I might give this one another go though, my original disintegrated after too much washing so perhaps time to reinvest and compare to the beauty blender again! Great post!

Yes I must give the beauty blender a go myself!
DeleteI've always been curious about the quality of this RT sponge. Glad know your thoughts about this. So, it's decided I'll go get the original Beauty Blender instead.

Thanks. I love the sponge effect but it seems like the beauty blender is superior in quality - I will have to give it a try x
