|The Original Makeup Eraser Review|
A chemical-free cleansing wipe? The Original Makeup Eraser* is a ultra soft cloth designed to remove every scrap of makeup without the need for a separate cleanser - just add water! It feels like those soft cleaning cloths we use to wipe off dust from surfaces... who would have thought you could use something like that to remove makeup?
I've got this in the shade pink. It also comes in pastel blue and black for choice. It is made of knitted polyester/silk fibres.
All you need to do is to soak the cloth in warm water and then magically wipe makeup away. I find it quickly, efficiently and easily does the job. It even removes mascara (although I have only tried it with the non-waterproof variety). Trust me, I used a cotton pad soaked in micellar water after using the Original Makeup Eraser and I hardly found any residual makeup. It's very gentle on the face even the delicate eye area. It is a lot more scratch-free than regular cotton pads. If your skin is particularly sensitive, this avoids the chemicals in regular cleansers.
Not so good things about this is the unsightly smearing of your makeup on your Original Makeup Eraser. I don't particularly enjoy seeing my makeup rubbing off on surfaces - I'm sure if this was in white, you would go crazy! For that reason the black one would probably be more preferable to the other two colours. It is also less disposable than a cotton pad. This you should wash (preferably machine-wash) between uses; you wouldn't want to be wiping your face on a dirty eraser the next time would you.
I think this product is perfect for those escapades when you don't want to lug around a separate jar of makeup remover, eg. a night on holiday, festivals or post-work out cleansing. Just stuff it in your bag and off you go!
Overall I love the idea of this chemical-free makeup remover, and for that I highly recommend the Original Makeup Eraser. Whoever thought of this is a genius!
