Om Skincare Pure Glow Cleanser Review
Om Skincare Pure Glow Cleanser

Om Skincare describes Om Skincare Pure Glow Cleanser as a gentle and deeply nourishing cleanser that doubles up as a make-up remover and deep cleansing treatment. It is formulated with Organic Aloe Vera, gentle extracts of Rosewood, and Sweet Orange extract to increase the production of collagen in the skin. Suitable for all skin types, balancing oily skin whilst re-hydrating dry skin.

Used with lukewarm water, this gel cleanser lathers moderately on the skin. On my combination skin, its one of those cleansers that leaves your skin feeling 'tight' and 'squeaky clean'. I find I have to reach out for my creams soon after using to get back some moisture.

Compared to micellar water cleansers, it is not so good at removing make up, especially eye makeup. I would use this as a second cleanser at night and as the first one in the morning after waking.

After a week of use, I am happy to report it is not comedogenic.

I would recommend Om Skincare Pure Glow Cleanser to individuals with normal to oily skin. I would avoid using this on dry, open, sensitive, eczematous skin as it has the potential to irritate. I perhaps wont repurchase this myself as I tend to go for milky cleansers as opposed to the more-drying gel-based ones.

Om Skincare Pure Glow Cleanser Review

Om Skincare No-Lines Nourishing Cream Review
Om Skincare No-Lines Nourishing Cream Review

Om Skincare No-Lines Nourishing Cream is a lightweight cream intended to fill in lines and wrinkles. Om Skincare suggests using this as an eye cream, on the nasolabial folds and forehead wrinkles as desired. It contains hyaluronic acid, seaweed, dill seed extract, witch hazel and soybean protein which act to firm and tighten skin.

It comes in such beautiful white and gold packaging that instantly lights up my dressing table. It comes in a handy sanitary pump dispenser with 15ml of product. Half a pump is sufficient to apply around both eyes.

To use, I would suggest applying on to clean skin with tapping motions, while avoiding dragging on the skin. It absorbs within 10 minutes and keeps the skin nourished for hours.

I would apply makeup around the 15-minute mark. It works well as a makeup base and does not clump concealers. With regards to undereye circles, there's a tightening and brightening effect that lasts for a few hours. I feel I do not have to apply undereye concealer when I use this. As for wrinkle treatment, I am fortunate not to have many yet, so this is difficult to tell. It feels like it would work well for wrinkle prevention.

I think this is works for individuals with normal to combination skin, and for those who have existing wrinkles or those who would like to prevent them. I would avoid using this on dry, open, sensitive, eczematous skin as some of the ingredients eg. witch hazel have a potential to irritate and inflame.

Overall I do like Om Skincare No-Lines Nourishing Cream (£55) as an eye cream and generally would recommend it. It will take me a few months to finish, we'll see if I would repurchase then.

Om Skincare No-Lines Nourishing Cream Review

I never used to look twice at volumising products - infact with a 'mane' of thick black hair, frizz and dullness were my main hair woes. Recently I found my hair looking more flat at the roots and definitely some well needed refreshing in between washes with my busy work schedule.

Swell boasts: 'Swell's unique all-natural formula gives you immediate and sustained volume (even with difficult to manage baby-fine hair) from day one.'

Time to put it the test!

The Swell Ultimate Volume 3-Step Kit contains a shampoo, conditioner and root spray. The slogan of this company if definitely 'less is more' and a small amount if definitely all you need. It smells incredible and is completely vegan and paraben free. The 3 step kit comes with a booklet packed with tips and advice. I personally have to say the root spray is definitely the winner in this trio. I have seen a definite improvement in the roots giving really noticeable volume when I spray this to my roots before blow drying my hair.

Dry shampoo has been a necessity - mainly in the summer months, Batiste has been an alltime favourite brand especially when I need a heavy handed refresher. The Swell Ultimate Volume Dry Shampoo is a finely milled powder that gives a softer touch-up which is perfect for the winter time and dissolves away seamlessly leaving no white marks. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with the Swell 3-step system for even better results. Its small size means it is great for carrying in your handbag

Step 1- Shake bottle before use and during use.Step 2- Focusing on the roots, gently pump to ensure fine powder application.
Step 3- Run hands through hair distribute product.
Step 4- Repeat as necessary.

After trying this product for a few weeks I can definitely recommend these products. They give a noticeable difference even after the first use and they make a great stocking filler this time of year!

Swell - Ultimate Volume Hair Care Collection

True North Destress Mask, Elizabeth Arden PRO Illuminating Enzyme Masque
True North Destress Mask and Elizabeth Arden PRO Illuminating Enzyme Masque

If you follow us on Instagram you'll know I absolutely loved the Vitamasques sheet mask - so hydrating and moisturising. Masks were always something I had just seen in old movies of girls using pre-prom but these last few weeks I've really being enjoying discovering some new masks especially for my extra dry skin!

The first is the De-Stressed mask from True North. I cannot rave about this enough. It contains Aloe Vera and advises to apply a generously layer onto a cleansed face and neck. I have been using this after work non-stop lately as it is so rich and hydrating and dissolves away any tension headache I have. It definitely soaks into my skin and leaves it feeling softer and hydrated. The packaging is so cute and the only down side would be the slightly small size and the fact that it is quite pricey - however, a little goes a long way with this product and I find that lathering excess on is not needed. It is available from Harvey Nichols for £59.

The Elizabeth Arden PRO illuminating enzyme masque is another favourite. This mask is also rich and creamy and smells incredible. It contains papaya, pumpkin, pineapple and black willow bark extracts. I kid you not - it smells so good to the point you may want to eat it! (But seriously don't...) I have been loving to use this to prep my skin a few hours before doing my makeup for an event and as of yet has not failed me! Check it out for yourself!

Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick

I recently received this gorgeous Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick from Shivanee. She only knows too well my fondness for the colour peach.

Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick is a beautiful shimmery wheel of peach tinted shades, from a pale white gold to a medium toned peach copper colour. Swirled together, it makes a gorgeous glow.

Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick Review Swatches
Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick Swatches: Individual & Swirled

The shades are accessible individually with small fingertips or a delicate eyeshadow brush. You can use them separately as highlighter or as a shimmery lid/browbone shade if you like. Mix and match; the possibilities are endless!

If used on the eyes, I would suggest using a primer underneath to make it stick. It is well pigmented, but you can easily pack it on if you like.

Overall, I love this Soap and Glory Peach Party Multi-Colour Blush Brick and I would recommend it as a cheaper alternative to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. It makes a perfect highlighter for the holiday season, and would make a wonderful gift.

If you are able to get one with loved one's name on it like my blush brick has (thanks Shiv!), even better!

Sensodyne Pronamel Daily Toothpaste ReviewSensodyne Pronamel Daily Toothpaste Review
Decades of fruit juice, fizzy drinks, previous tooth whitening and nocturnal tooth grinding have unfortunately taken a toll on my teeth making them super sensitive. I have heard of the tooth-protecting effects of Sensodyne and upon trying their products, I have remained loyal to this brand for years since.

Growing up I was never really taught the detrimental effects of acidic food and drink on teeth. If you were or you weren't taught this in your childhood, let me remind you:

Enamel is the white, mineral rich outer layer of our teeth that protects the sensitive bony dentin underneath. If your enamel is thick and healthy then it gives you a strong white smile. However, over time acidic foods and drinks can erode the enamel and expose the yellow and dull dentin underneath. If your teeth become sensitive, appear yellow, dull and thin, then it could be a sign of weakened or acid softened enamel.

Acid erosion is caused by frequent eating and drinking sugary acidic food and drink, such as fruit juice, fizzy drinks, alcohol, and even coffee and salad dressings. If your diet is healthy then don’t change it. As long as your enamel is protected every day, then there's no reason why you can't enjoy acidic foods and drinks as part of a healthy diet, as well as healthy strong enamel.

Once enamel’s gone, it’s gone forever.

If you are like me, with sensitive teeth, you may benefit from the Sensodyne Pronamel Range.

Sensodyne Pronamel Mouthwash and Toothpaste* are recommended by Dentists due to their unique optimised fluoride formulations that actively strengthen weakened enamel.

Pronamel toothpaste also helps to prevent further enamel from dissolving. The toothpaste and mouthwash have each also been specially designed for people at risk of Acid Wear.

With Pronamel, minerals penetrate deep into the enamel surface, actively strengthening and re-hardening weakened enamel making it healthy, stronger and better protected from the effects of acids - every day.

Used twice a day it helps:

Protect your teeth from the effects of Acid Wear
Protect your teethfrom sugar acids, a leading cause of tooth decay
Maintain healthy teeth and gums
Clean and freshen your mouth

It's no surprise I recommend Sensodyne Pronamel. Come and join me on the Sensodyne Pronamel bandwagon!

Sensodyne Pronamel Protection

Red cherry lashes review

I have never been one to really wear false lashes. Apart for the occasional black tie event I have always preferred mascara. I found the lashes I had tried before had too thick bands making them look too unnatural and being inexperienced - very messy to handle!

Over the last few days I have been testing out some beautiful lashes sent to me by falseeyelashes.co.uk and I have to say I am in love and I am definitely going to be wearing more false lashes in the future.

The Red Cherry lashes are my favourite. The band is so thin and (after a bit of practice!) are so easy to apply. The thin band enables a really natural looking false lash that still can be exaggerated with the addition of mascara and liner.

The Wispy #WSP are absolutely stunning and I think these will definitely be my go-to lashes from now on. They have beautiful cross lashes giving a very pretty look. I got so many compliments with the lashes and wore them for a good 15-16 hours at beautycon, dinner and drinks and most of the time forgot I was even wearing them! (Yes they were that good) at the end of the night they still held beautifully in place and were not irritating my skin/eyes.

Red Cherry Wispies #WSP lashes

The Stevi #43 lashes are straight cut fanned lashes are also great and are slightly more dramatic - great for events or nights out. I wore them at a wedding - again got many compliments. I found they too were barely noticeable, but slightly more than the #WSP (the right one was bothering me until I reapplied it after an hour - so probably more to do with my technique)

Red Cherry Stevie #43 lashes

The Ardell Demi Wispies  are definitely a cult favourite. I agree that they are flattering but I personally found them to be slightly heavy on the outer 1/3rd of the lash and with little extra volume. I found my lashes pre-mascara were almost coming to the edge. They are still beautiful lashes especially if you want a bit of volume and have shorter lashes naturally.

I also tested out the Rimmel Volume Colourist mascara in extreme black. This has been a favourite of mine in the past and has been great to rediscover. Plastic wands are my favourite in general and this mascara definitely does a good job of really separating the lashes whilst adding volume. Great to use with these lashes! The only drawback is the chunkiness of the lid which makes application very slightly more difficult.

All in all I would 100% recommend these lashes. falseeyelashes.co.uk is a great new company stocking so many different lash brands as well as mascara. There is no minimum spend for delivery which is great and I on google searching their prices are extremely competitive retailing for these lashes at just £3.99! They are also stocking the Morphe brushes coveted 35o palette - I must admit, I may be first in line to grab that when it is back in stock! And of course - more lashes!

Lashes to Die For

Vitalize Care Vitabox ReviewVitalize Care Vitabox ReviewVitalize Care Vitabox ReviewVitalize Care Vitabox Review

I love multivitamins. A single pill provides a surplus of vitamins to get you through the day. Taken daily, you replenish your stores and energising effects last longer. However for good health, multivitamins aren't enough. Studies have shown other substances such as omega 3, co-enzyme Q10 and green tea can provide energy and great healthy skin.

Enter the Vitalize Vitabox*. Your one stop pill box for healthy skin.

The Vitabox* contains essential vitamins (A, B1-3, C, D3 and E) as well as Omega 3,6,9 (for a healthy heart), Co-enzyme Q10 (a natural energiser) and Green Tea (a powerful anti-oxidant). They come in nifty labelled blister strips to retain freshness and safe dosing. You don't have to remember whether you've taken it or not, as long as you take one strip a day.

Prior to the Vitabox*, I've been using the Holland & Barrett Cod Liver Oil with Multi Vitamins Capsules, which contained Vitamins A, B1-3, B6, B12, C, D, E and Omega 3. I found that even it was a single pill, it was difficult to ingest and because of that I would go for days without taking it. I was surprised that although slightly larger, the Vitabox* pills were not difficult at all. The only downside as there are four, but all go down easily with a single glass of water.

One thing to reiterate is that Vitamins are no substitute for a healthy diet. You must take these with a meal.

If you bought these separately from Holland and Barrett:

Vitamins A, B, C, D, E - £3.99 for 60 tablets (2 months)

Omega 3,6,9 - £15.99 for 60 capsules (2 months)

Co-enzyme Q10 - £16.29 for 30 capsules (1 month)

Green Tea - £9.39 for 60 tablets (2 months)

This would roughly set you back £31 per month. The Vitabox costs £25.99 per month (subscription), or £28.99 for a one month box, which is £2-6 cheaper than if each component was bought separately.

Overall, I would recommend the Vitabox* to anyone looking for an energising pill box that is also good for your skin. You can purchase this from Vitalizecare.co.uk.

Vitalize Care Vitabox

I was so excited to attend Beautycon London this year - it was a packed day, packed with even more wonderful beauty products! I had heard good things about the convention last year - which I believe was the first time in London and it this time round they stepped things up making it bigger and better.

I purchased the Hauler package which enabled me to enter 2 hours early (10am) and gave a tote stuffed with goodies!! It was held at the Kensington Olympia and filled with stalls from NYX, Pixi, Soap & Glory, Lime crime amongst others.

I was eager to rush around them all as many brands were giving freebies (most linked with a social media upload) and had sweets, fun photo booths and lots of great products to browse and buy.

One of my favourite stalls was the Beauty bay stall - filled with American brand products in their 'playground'. I am a big fan of Beauty bay and definitely a regular customer (just received two packages from them this morning!) and it was great to try products I had heard about but had never been able to sample here in the UK. Unfortunately they didnt stock the absolutely beautiful Kevyn Aucoin sculpting powder which I absolutely must have now and they had the coveted Morphe 35o palette but unfortunately ran out of stock!

The talks were great and empowering. I saw a few - the first One world, Many Hastags was chaired by Thandie Newton and Kay-Montano talking about the cross cultural  connection that beauty had and was able to unite us globally. The second, The changing face of beauty, was chaired by the stunning Jay Manuel (yes my jaw dropped a bit when I saw him) talking about the power that Youtubers had and how the definition of beauty had changed and developed. It was quite inspiring. Lastly the absolutely gorgeous Suki Waterhouse and Poppie James came to talk about their new accessories line and how they had started their business.

I also got to meet +Kaushal Beauty the famous youtuber! She was just as warm and lovely in person as she comes across in her Videos - and yes she is just as stunning!

Now for the goodies... I'm literally lost for words... As you can see the hauler package was definitely worth it - the amount of goodies was insane. I will be testing these out all in due course but it may take me a while to get through

+NYX Professional Makeup had a spinning wheel and I was lucky enough to land on the star prize winning a cute lips bag filled with a lip butter gloss, a colour mascara and the beautiful eyeshadow palette down below.

Product rundown:
  • +realtechniques retractable lip brush + beautyblenders
  • +NYX Professional Makeup lips bag, ultimate shadow palette in cool neutra, colour correcting palette, colour mascara in CM07 lilac and an intense butter gloss in spice cake
  • Lime Crime velvetine liquid matte lipstick in cement
  • +pixiwoo endless silky eye pen in opal and a brow powder palette
  • +Eyelure Store brow amplifier in Mid brown
  • Soap and Glory Lip plumping gloss in the shade Bare enough and a peach party multicolour blush brick
  • +LOreal Paris true match highlight in golden glow
  • Ciate mini nail polish in Peach
  • Collection velvet kiss lip creams
  • Tonymoly Lip balm in honey

I had a wonderful time and will definitely be back next year!

Beautycon London 2016

Roger and Gallet Hand and Nail cream definitely has a rich scented formula that is great for dry to very dry skin. Personally I would classify my skin as very dry and this leaves it feeling hydrated and perhaps even on the greasier side initially. The product boasts 8 hour hydration which I think is probably on the lenient side. However it is a very rich formula so I think would last longer than most.

It contains Argan oil and evening primrose oil which are great for the skin. The packaging is cute and it's size definitely is very handy - great for on the go and to have in my pockets whilst on the wards!

However, the scent for me is quite strong and overpowering. It's a bit of a marmite situation. There are hints of orange blossom which some may love however I find it somewhat artificial and over powering. Secondly, one other drawback is personally it irritates my skin. I unfortunately have extremely sensitive skin and although I'm not sure what ingredient it is causing this, this makes this product a Nono for me.

Have you tried this product? I would love to hear your thoughts - please leave a comment below!

LAB2 Contour Brush vs Real Techniques Sculpting Brush, LAB2 Eyeshadow Brush vs Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush, LAB2 Foundation Brush vs Zoeva 112 Brush, LAB2 Buffing Brush vs Real Techniques Buffing Brush

I'm always on the prowl for expert brushes and so I came across this LAB2 'I'm Turning Pro' Brush Kit*. It contains 4 professional grade brushes designed for flawless makeup application.

All brushes have special bristles with FibreLuxe Technology to provide easy pigment pick up and release.

I love the soft touch handles. They feel slightly rubbery, akin to NARS compacts, which make them easy to grip.

The LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Buffing Brush is my favourite from this collection. It has good sturdy bristles that deposit and buff foundation effortlessly. I haven't witnessed any shedding from this brush and it is easy to clean.

In contrast, the LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Contour Brush is a disappointment. The bristles are soft and the small brush head and angle are good for contouring. It sheds like crazy making it more effort to clean up the bristles than its worth.

The LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Eyeshadow Brush is a semi flat topped sturdy brush that allows an easy soft eyeshadow application. It is similar to the Real Techniques base shadow brush that I love so much.

The LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Foundation Brush is a slim brush with plasticky bristles. It takes a while to cover the face with foundation with this brush and it is a bit streaky. Personally I'm not a fan of flat foundation brushes in general because of those particular issues.

Overall, this is not a set I would recommend, but once the LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Buffing Brush and LAB2 I'm Turning Pro Eyeshadow Brush are available individually, I would wholeheartedly recommend them!

I must say, the MAC Nutcracker Sweet Holiday collection is massive! There are a lot of good quality products and fun colours, that if I were new to makeup I would not be able to choose. That said, I don't think the shades are particularly original but they are flattering nonetheless.

I was lucky to pick up what I felt were the stars of this collection. Keep reading!

MAC Saucy Little Darling Lipstick

This is a gorgeous coral pink in an amplified cream finish. I find it is between MAC Impassioned and Chatterbox lipsticks from the permanent collection. It is almost too bright for a winter lipstick, but it is an interesting choice and it is most perfect for the sunny parts of the world. It has a bright glowiness to it that whitens the teeth. It has a little slip to it as an amplified cream but it last long on the lips. So beautiful.

MAC Leap of Delight Lipstick

I don't have many dark purple lipsticks and this one fit the bill. It has a matte texture that is wonderfully smooth and easy to apply on the lips. The pigmentation is great too. This lippie will take me through the winter season, and especially through the trendy roads of Islington.

MAC Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder

If you are a fan of NARS Orgasm blush, well this one is for you. Sweet Vision is its smoother, less gritty cousin. It is a orange coral with a gold duochrome sheen. It feels absolutely buttery with such amazing pigmentation. It is similar to MAC Springsheen blush from the permanent line.

MAC Sweet Copper Face Compact

This duo is a beauty! I know a lot have raved about this product and I'll keep it short. It has Whisper of Gilt, a shimmery pale gold highlighter, and Pleasure Model, a coral brown blush which I will be using for contour. If you are a fan of highlighters and compact cases, run out to get this, now and fast!

There you have it. My fantastic four. Did you pick up anything from this collection?

MAC Nutcracker Sweet Holiday 2016 Collection Haul

Embryolisse CC Cream Review Swatches
Embryolisse CC Cream Review
From the company that brought us the cult fave Lait Creme Concentre, Embryolisse has launched its Embryolisse CC Cream Complexion Correcting Care with SPF20* (£32.95). This is a sun-protecting tinted moisturiser that is meant to provide a flawless complexion with smooth plumped up skin.

This CC cream comes in one shade, which I believe is good for cool-toned medium skin. I like applying this with a flat foundation brush for an even application. When applied with the fingertips, some product tends to clump into little balls so I wouldn't recommend that.

When worn on its own, it reveals a natural-satin glow that actually makes my skin feel good. Sometimes I wear this on its own when I'm relaxed off work, but when used alone indoors it isn't enough to control oil especially on my T-zone hence I set with powder on these occasions. MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus seems to work well and keeps the skin matte for about 4 hours and then its time to touch up.

PROS:
1. Non-comedogenic ie. it does not break you out in spots.
2. Lovely natural satin finish.
3. Good light-medium coverage.
4. Makes the skin feel good and comfortable!

CONS:
1. It contains the Embryolisse fragrance which can irritate some.
2. It comes in one shade that leans a bit cool. It would look ashy on darker skintones.
3. SPF20 is insufficient for sun protection. I would recommend using a separate sunscreen with SPF30 and above for adequate protection.
4. It can cling to dry patches if you don't moisturise enough.

Embryolisse CC Cream Review Swatches
Embryolisse CC Cream Swatches on NC30 Skin
I'd like to compare this with other popular tinted moisturisers due to the light coverage with SPF content. Compared to NARS Tinted Moisturiser, this is less glowy/oily and it lasts longer. The finish is more dewy than Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser (Oil-Free version). The shade selection is much better with the NARS and Laura Mercier counterparts.

I would recommend this to those with medium toned combination to oily skin. Unfortunately the shade range (or lack of) is a big problem that they should perhaps sort out.

I am hardly impressed by tinted moisturisers, but I actually do like the way this Embryolisse CC Cream feels on my skin. I feel this is one of the better light-medium coverage face bases out there and I do recommend it, if the shade fits.

The Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palette is an affordable drugstore palette with a range of shades making it suitable for most skin tones. Darker skin girls (see swatches below) may not find the contour shades deep enough. As my face is a bit lighter than the rest of my body - I was able to get away with it and I found that I really loved the contour shades as they added a nice warmth to my face as a soft contour as the shades were similar to my skin tone. I would have preferred a deeper shade to give an option to have a stronger more defined contour look.

The palette consists of three contour shades, 3 highlight shades with 2 baked highlighters in a sleek black case and full sized mirror. Retailing at just £8 this palette is definitely value for money considering the high quality. The shades are very pigmented and easy to blend. I have found mixing the contour shades working well using the darkest shade to sculpt and the other two to blend above. This palette is powder based but there is a cream palette available too.

Swatches on Livia's (top) and my (below) arms to show they show up on different skin tones. From left to right on swtached arms - the bottom row starting with the highlighter has been swatched first (and moving across left) and then moving onto the top row with the glittery baked white/gold highlighter and moving onto the highlight tones.

The products are very easy to blend and I think this is a great starter kit enabling you to play around with the different shades to see what works best for you. The baked highlighters are gorgeous but I have to say the white/gold one is far too glittery for my personal taste however the pink one gives a good subtle shimmer.

Of the powders, I find the white and pale pink have been untouched but the banana shade is a good everyday under eye setting powder. I personally do not think I would repurchase this as the shades are a little out of my skin tone comfort however I do think it is a great product to get started with and more suitable for slightly paler skin tones. At such a good price it is definitely worth a try!

Monsoon Rose Gold Perfume Review

Monsoon Rose Gold Perfume* has a light and flowery aroma. It's timing couldn't be better in keeping with my rose gold obsession and I think would make a great stocking filler!

It boasts 'top notes of sparkling lemon, soft fruit and ozonic scents are layered with velvety rose, tuberose, neroli and cyclamen, and underpinned with base notes of Eastern woods, vanilla, mosses, musk and balsamic amber.'

It definitely has a girly light scent that lasts throughout the day without being overpowering. The packaging is so cute and would definitely make a great gift for all the rose lovers out there.

PRAI Beauty Luxury Skincare Review
PRAI Beauty Luxury Skincare Review
PRAI Beauty is a new upmarket skincare brand with some great high quality products enriched with key ingredients that help keep your skin youthful and vibrant. Nigel Barker  (of whom I am a massive fan!) has just taken over as creative director.

I have tested these products for a while and I can say my favourite by far is the PRAI Beauty Platinum Firm and Lift Eye Serum*. I have noticed my under eyes magically transform and hydrate in prep for any eye makeup and I go to apply after. It contains platinum, nulastic silk and praisomes (the last two patented) with help lift and firm the skin and help erase fine lines and wrinkles. It is a firm textures and you can feel it working each time.

The PRAI Beauty 24K Gold Illuminator* is a rich creamy bronze formula which contains vitamin E and other antiaging peptides and vitamins. As it has a shimmery texture, I feel it is perfect for summer skincare. What I love is how it gives a beautiful and elegant glow, that is not overpowering, with its light reflecting particles.

The PRAI Beauty Ageless Eye Dark Circle Corrector* is a slightly too light a shade and shimmery to work on my skin tone but its rich and creamy texture provides a good base to then apply concealer on top as it smooths out any wrinkles and illuminates the dark areas.

The PRAI Beauty 24K Gold Wrinkle Filler* is an extra thick texture and again provides a great base to put on concealer and has noticeably helped prevent and reduce creasing throughout the day. I have extremely sensitive skin and stress, cold weather and wearing makeup too regularly can really make my eczema flare, especially around my eyes. This product has really helped!

The PRAI Beauty 24K Gold Concentrate Retinol* firstly smells amazing. It has a lighter texture but contrarily gives a deep rich hydrating and really does make my skin glow.

I am in love with this range. The packaging is luxurious in gold and silver and products have been generously sized. These products are great for aging skin and those like me who have very dry/eczematous skin as they really moisturise to a new level.

Overall I think these products are great and would definitely recommend!

PRAI Beauty Luxury Skincare Review

Makeup Obsession is a new brand launching in Boots and we at the Skin and Beauty Blog are loving it!  The concept of being able to build 'designer' palette is incredible, especially at affordable prices. The range currently covers eyeshadows, blushers, highlighters and contour colours.

I've swatched quite a few and the colours are highly pigmented and great quality. Below you can see how these shades look on mine and Livia's skin tone.

(Colours left to right:  E143 Mink, E117 Chroma, E120 Rich, E136 Rapture, E103 St Tropez and E145 Azure)

Overall I am in love with this product! The shadows are of high quality and very blendable and very buildable and at such a bargain price you cannot really go wrong - especially when you are picking out each shade. Each pan is quite large making it even more worth it for your money and the case comes in a variety of colours (white, silver, pink and gold) with a large mirror and two sizes (6 shadows or 12). I would say the quality is comparable with morphebrushes palettes as well as pigmentation.

The only thing I have found is that you need to take care when opening the palettes - as the shadows can clip in and out of the cases - sometimes some may pop out when travelling which can (and has) led to a real disaster! But.. on the up side it means you can customise your palette for events so you dont need to take any unecessary shadows with you!

I would recommend this palette for all - but especially for those who know what shadows they need to work for their skin tones and different looks. Although great for beginners too at such a great price - they may benefit more from pre made palettes with similar tones already set for them.

I love this palette and defintiely give it a 10/10!
