Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Palette Review, Swatches |
One if the most popular products from Hourglass Cosmetics are their divine Ambient Lighting Powders. From a steep price of £38 a piece, these powders are definitely on the more expensive side, definitely not drugstore. This trio of highlighters in the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder Palette (£56) allows you to try 3 shades at a relative bargain - it would come to £19 per piece.
These powders are so fine milled, they have a luxuriously soft texture.
Dim Light is a satin light beige. It doesn't have sparkles but there is a hint of shimmer under the light. It has the potential of looking chalky if piled on too much, this needs some blending to work.
Incandescent Light is a beauty. It is an off-white colour with fine silver shimmers. Applied high on the cheekbones these makes cheeks pop to sculpt the face. Beautiful!
Radiant Light is a light orange gold. It has a slight shimmer. This would be a fantastic highlighter on deeper skintones - think olive or MAC NC40 and deeper. I think it could also work as a bronzing blush for paler skintones. Gorgeous.

I don't really use finishing powders so I didn't pick this up, but it IS tempting!

I actually use these as highlighters. They have a very natural finish!
