Make Up For Ever 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Collection will Make You Blush

Make Up For Ever is set to launch a makeup range influenced by E.L. James' sensual novel along with the hotly anticipated Valentine's Eve premiere of the Fifty Shades of Grey film. The "kinky collection" will make you blush like an innocent, sweet and early-Christian Grey-era Anastasia Steele. This collection boasts suggestive names and the kinky packaging includes smooth and silky rope ties, and an ornate lock and key pattern, take a look...

The fantastic "Give In To Me" collection ($79) housed in a glossy, mirrored lock box contains a neutral-hued eye-shadow palette, eyeliner and lip colours.

The "Tease Me" lip trio ($32) will have long-wearing and well-pigmented soft and flirty pink hues.

The "Desire Me" blush set comes with a flushed, rosy palette.

To further compliment the Fifty Shades of Grey theme (according to WWD) the Make Up For Ever Fifty Shades of Grey collection will offer beauty tips from Victoria Down, the head makeup artist from the movie through tips incorporated with the product packaging and accessible online tutorials.

The limited edition collection will launch on 26 December 2014 exclusively in Sephora stores and at Sephora.com.

I'm curious to see the actual swatches, I'm sure with MUFE, the product quality will live up to the hype. I haven't read the books but I've been through Dr Wiki. I find it so interesting how this series became popularised in this budding era of feminism...

What are your thoughts on this collection and the novels?

  1. I definitely did not see this coming. A year ago I read the book, but I was annoyed at how they portrayed the main female character with the same expression throughout the book. Thus I skipped most parts and only read the parts that interested me haha. Although the book didn't thrilled me as much as I thought it would be (since it was such a hype), this collection definitely did. Excited and looking forward to this release!

  2. It's a nice collection, but I was expecting something bolder. The shades are quite boring.
