|Classic Smokey Eyes|
Ready for the red carpet?
Here's a classic smokey look I put together inspired by the fierceness of Hollywood glamour.
Make Up List (in order of application)
Concealer: MAC Select Moisturecover NC30
Highlight: Maybelline Angel Fit Perfect Concealer no. 01 Light Beige
Contour: Sleek Suede Effect Pressed Powder no. 04
Liquid Foundation: MAC Studio Sculpt NC35
Eyebrows: Etude House Easy Brow Pencil
Lid: Sleek Cream Soda (i-Candy Palette)
Crease: Sleek Noir (Ultra Mattes v2 Palette) & Shimmery Midnight Blue Color (Storm Palette)
Eyeliner: NYX Super Fat Eye Marker
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Mascara
Finishing Foundation: MAC Lightful NC35
Blush: MAC True Romantic
Lips: NYX Matte Lip Creme in London
To create the smokey eye:
1.) Apply a Shimmery Silver color on your lids (Sleek Cream Soda), the inner corners of your eyes, and inner half of your lower lashline using an Eyeshadow Brush
2.) Define your crease with a Matte Black or Dark Brown color (Sleek Noir) using a Pencil Brush. This is probably the trickiest step. My tip would be to trace your crease little by little until you've added just the right amount. Build it up slowly. Use this color to line the outer half of your lower lashline as well.
3.) Pat a Shimmery Indigo color (Sleek Midnight Blue color form Storm Palette) on the crease you had just made, putting more emphasis on the outside corners of your eyes.
4.) Line your eyes with a liquid liner (NYX Super Fat Eye Marker), slightly winging it on the outer corner.
5.) Mascara away! Don't forget your lower lashes. Add falsies to create a more dramatic effect.
Voila! Youre done!
When you have so much going on on your eyes, it's best to opt for a nude or less eye-catching color on your lips. This is so the look isn't overdone. I also wanted more attention on my eye make up so I mellowed down on my lip color.
