The Weekly Makeup Edit #03

We have been lucky with the weather this week, the sun finally decided to show up and reminded us that summer is here (or maybe it's another tease) but anyhow my makeup choices have been to match the bright weather with a glowy complexion. These products have made it to my makeup kit this week. Let's get started!
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk #06. I now get the hype around this foundation. It is extremely lightweight and yet has the sufficient coverage I need to conceal redness and soften spots. It doesn't completely cover freckles on my cheeks, which is one of the reasons I loved it. The shade I got is a tad bit darker than my complexion but still looks natural. This shade for me is perfect for the summertime - a little tanned and freckly! It also makes my skin feel so soft, more so than other foundations I've tried. Check out the full review here.

Bobbi Brown Sheer Finish Pressed Powder. I have been using this to set my foundation. I like how it looks on top of GA, it does not cling to dry patches and makes my skin look velvety. Of course, I've applied this using the massive Real Techniques Powder Brush. Check out the full review of the BB powder here.
MAC Seduced At Sea Blush. This is a peach blush with a hint of pink and a little bit of a sheen. I love the formula, it is incredibly easy to blend with a good colour pay off. Check out the full review here.
MAC Soft and Gentle Mineralised Skinfinish. For that extra glow, I dug this out of my mineralised skinfinish collection. It's a beautiful shiny pale peach. Through the week I've experimented with many ways and brushes to use it with as I wouldn't fancy the shimmers all over my face, and I've come to my favourite way to apply it just on the cheekbones -- with the tip of a MAC 129 Blush Brush.
MAC Avenue Fluidline. This is a true black eyeliner with sparkles. What's not to love? This is limited edition but MAC Blitz and Glitz from the permanent collection is a close copy. Check out the full review here.
There you have it, my top product picks!

  1. I still need to try that GA foundation, everyone keeps saying it's amazing!

  2. Compared to the Mineralised Skinfinishes, I think this Bobbi Brown one holds against oil a bit longer than the MSF, but the MSFs give a bit more of a 'glow' than this one, if that makes sense.

  3. The GA foundation is haunting me! I think I just need to get it already! MAC's skin finishes are always a fav of mine for glowy skin.

    Welcome, Shannon!

  5. Definitely try GA, you won't regret it! Also, what's your favourite MSF?
