Revlon Kissable Balm Stain Collection Reviews, Swatches (Pic Heavy!)

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling

If someone were to ask me what my favourite and most recommended drug store lip products were, the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains would definitely be it. They are easy dupes for the famous Clinique Chubby Sticks. They are pigmented, nonsticky, glide well and adhere to the lips to provide a sheen and stain. They are long-lasting, and the crayon like shape means you don't have the hassle of requiring lip liners. They twist up so you don't need to sharpen them either. They also apply evenly. They have a minty smell that is non offensive, I actually like it. I had problems with the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Colours that had a similar smell - they made my lips flake. But not with these Revlon babies - they are perfect! I picked up a few (perhaps an understatement) of these lippies over the last few months, and here is a post on my entire collection of the original Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Charm is a milky pastel peachy pink with a texture of a MAC Lustre lipstick. Initially it appears very sheer on the lips, but over time it makes my lips turn a darker pink and more coral. It appears really natural on the lips. It has a brightening effect on the face and would be perfect for summer. I think this colour would be quite popular!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Darling is a flattering light pinky purple lipstick that I keep in my everyday makeup bag. It's my second choice of lip colour for on the go. I love wearing this with jeans and with dark cool-toned outfits. The shade whitens the appearance of teeth and looks great on my olive skin. The colour fits this year's pantone colour of the year!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey is a nude pink with a hint of brown. I wear this to events where low key makeup is key - to interviews, important meetings, weddings, etc. This is my first choice for an everyday lippie and like the one above, holds a firm place in my travelling makeup bag.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush is a dark pink berry shade that is so sexy! It makes me feel like the Evil Queen Regina from Once Upon a Time. (he heh) Among the Revlon Balm Stains I have, this one applies with the most streaks, but you can always layer it on so it becomes less noticeable. It's a fantastic lipstick for the fall or for women that just love their dark lippies. The stain is long lasting and wears off evenly.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick is an extremely bright cool-toned fuchsia. This is the one Emma Stone wears in the promo images. I love the finish, which makes your lips look plumper, and teeth look whiter. It does not budge or bleed. Among all the lip balm stains I have tried, this one stains the most. It is quite bright but can be worn sheer and spread with the fingers. It is very bright so I reserve this for days when I feel the most daring!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous is a bright orange, no coral. Like the rest it gives a shiny finish and is perfect for summer and with tanned skin. Orange is in!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Romantic is a cherry red lipstick. I find that most red lipsticks are too bold for me and I shy away from them, but not with Romantic! It looks like lip gloss but lasts long, does not transfer to teeth (a fear of mine!) and makes my teeth look whiter. I use these in events where I feel I need more 'wow' like in parties!

Have you picked a favourite?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains (£7.99) are available from your local drugstore: Boots, Superdrug.

I recently tried their Matte Balm line in the shade 'Elusive', I really like the formula! I definitely have to try these out once I get my lip product collection under control...

    1. The matte balms have such a lovely texture too! My lippie collection has just exploded out of control, I'm pretty resigned to it now! X
