Rimmel Rita Ora Lose Your Lingerie & White Hot Love Review, Swatches!

Perusing my local Superdrug today I came across Rimmel's new offerings - a whole nail polish collection collab with British R&B singer Rita Ora. I'm always up for new nail polish and with Rimmel as my fave drugstore brand for nail lacqs I decided to pick up two. The current Buy-1-get-one-half-price trick also helped my lemmings. Here are my two pennies on the new polishes.

Lose Your Lingerie (first two), White Hot Love (last two)

Lose Your Lingerie (how raunchy!) is a a very pale pastel pink shade with very fine microshimmer.

White Hot Love is a bright white, it looks pearlescent in the bottle but looks creamy on.

I have always thought that Rimmel could do no wrong with nail polishes eg. I pretty much bought the entire collection of the Pro polish range with the maxi wands a couple years back, but I can't help but think I was a bit let down by these. Admittedly, the colours are gorgeous - they are what lured me in, but I expected better from the formula. It does dry quickly as it claims (about 60-90 seconds) but regarding application, it tends to be a bit streaky, even with the second coat. They don't look to bad from a far, but up close you can see the faults. I'm no nail polish guru but I have been saved by better drugstore formulas than this.

I might still use them as they make lovely spring colours, but in all honesty if I had known they would streak this much I probably would not have purchased them. Perhaps both polishes I got were duds or the other shades may have been better!

Have you picked up any of the new Rita Ora Rimmel Nail polishes? Any thoughts?

The new Rita Ora Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polishes (£ 3.69) are available from your local Boots and Superdrug.

  1. I've just posted about these and thought exactly the same as you - they were very streaky and the colour I chose was a gloopy mess! Glad I'm not the only one who thought this.

  3. The MAC Skinfinish looks so beautiful! The lipstick is such a gorgeous shade too, although I don't think I would be able to pull it off myself :P

I feel EXACTLY the same about these, they are super streaky! I went for the Boots 3 for 2 deal, so got 2 Ora polishes, and then one of the 'Sweetie Crush' polishes. Loving the latter, it's like a high-street dupe for Zoya's pixie dust polishes! Xx
