The days are getting longer, the grass are getting greener, and despite the frosty winds in the UK, I believe spring is approaching! And with that frame of mind I decided to swap my usual bronze eye makeup with something brighter, fresher. The focus was on achieving 'luminous lids' paired with neutral pink lips. I touched my MAC eyeshadow palette for the first time in weeks, a little over a month, which is absolutely crazy for me! It's also the first time I've busted out MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick too which I have had for sometime, and I must say I am loving it. Keep reading to find out more about the makeup I used in this look!
The cold weather hasn't been very kind to my skin lately, leaving lots of redness on my cheeks. Work has granted me dark under eye circles. To appear my freshest self, I used my trusty L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique C Cream in Anti-Redness on the cheeks and forehead and L'Oreal Paris Nude Magique CC Cream Anti-Fatigue to counter dark under eye circles. For a smooth face base, I used Maybelline New York Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer followed by NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Punjab.
Now the colour begins!
MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot was applied all over the lids for an even base. I dusted MAC Brule Eyeshadow underneath the eyebrows, MAC Cork Eyeshadow brushed on the crease and MAC Manila Paper Eyeshadow packed on the lids. Using Real Techniques Angled Brow Brush, I applied MAC Engraved Powerpoint Eye Pencil close to the upper lash line and extended to a little wing. I applied L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara for thicker fuller lashes, and eyebrows filled with Etude House Brow Pencil.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer was used to contour my cheekbones. I dusted MAC Pink Swoon Blush on the apples of my cheeks. Using my fingers, I applied MAC Pearl Cream Colour Base high on the cheekbones.
Using a concealer brush, I lined and filled my lips with MAC Kinda Sexy Lipstick, a matte nude pink brown shade. I find this wonderfully complements the eyes for an every day look.
