Unfortunately the wind doesn't make us all look this glamorous...
Happy Valentine's day folks! And what a windy Valentine's it is.
It's become rather windy and even more gloomy in these parts of the UK, I've broken 3 (yes THREE!) umbrellas in the last two weeks. Mourning the ache in my wallet has compelled me to write a post on how to cope with the windy weather - but this time beauty wise. Here are a few tips to stay chic amidst these windy days!
USE A STURDY MASCARA
With the strong brolly-breaking winds come rain and the lack of eye protection poses our mascara at risk of running down the cheeks. I suggest going for a smudge proof or even waterproof mascara that will hold stronger against this weather.
AVOID THE GLOSS
With hair inevitably going onto our faces causing smears of sticky shiny gloss on our cheeks and even worse - eyes, its best to avoid the lipgloss altogether, especially sticky ones, MAC lipglasses - I'm looking at you!
LIP STAINS ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND
The same reason above goes for lipstick. Use a budge-proof lippie such as Revlon Kissable Lip Stains, which are hair smudge resistant!
TRY A WINDY WEATHER HAIRDO
Speaking of hair, try windy weather hairdos. I am a total hair noob but some of these hairdos by Lauren Conrad's team seem easy to pull off!
MOISTURISE MORE
The windy weather can be extremely harsh and drying on the skin so don't forget to moisturise the skin on your face well as a good well-hydrated base for makeup. I have been using Embryolisse from my French Pharmacie Haul, which has been perfect at keeping my skin moisturised without feeling greasy.
That wraps up my beauty tips for windy times. I hope this was useful!
After further research into broken umbrellas, I've found a way to fix them - so don't chuck that broken umbrella folks!
Do you have any good tips for the windy weather? ♥
