I was lucky enough to be invited to the Pixi Beauty Event to see the new PixiGlow collection at their Carnaby Street shop. The PixiGlow collection is a collaboration between Pixi Beauty and Disney, specifically everyone's favourite fairy: Tinkerbell. The lil shop was packed full of beauty products and ogling beauty bloggers. The store was really girly and dainty - They had some of the prettiest packaging I have ever seen! I got a bit snap happy with my lil camera, so just to warn you: This post is going to be PICTURE-HEAVY. ;)
The limited edition PixiGlow Tinkerbell collection includes:
Pixi Catching Shadows Crayons
Pixi Fairy Dust
Pixi Fairy Face Palette
Pixi Magic Tink Tint
Pixi Straight on Til’ Morning Liner
Pixi Pirouette Pink Nail Colour
Now from the permanent line...
I loved these Chubby Sticks! These are called Tinted Brilliance Balms. They are retractable lip products that glide on your lips and are adequately pigmented. They are nonsticky. Amazing well thought design, and fantastic for on the go!
I loved these Succulent Lip Twins too. These products are blush, lipstick, gloss - all 3 in 1! The top is a rollerball that you can use to glide colour on your lips and cheeks. Unscrew the cap and a lipgloss is revealed. They come in several colours and all so wearable. My only gripe with these is that you don't get as much of the top bit compared with the lipgloss, which can be a bummer if you run out of the top before the rest. But £12 for a lips and cheeks product seems pretty good value.
I was told that POP is the beauty line created by the sister of Pixi Beauty maker, and several products were also featured in the shop:
A blog event wouldn't be complete without pretty and tasty cupcakes! These were from Hummingbird and Selfridges. Yum!
One thing I especially love about these events is the opportunity to meet new people who share the same interests as myself: ie beauty. I am so happy to meet these two genuinely lovely ladies: Angel and Kat. I spent most of the event with them and we also paid Topshop a visit after! Thanks for the wonderful company gals, and Kat, I'm still thinking about that blush! ;)
I was also able to talk to other beauties. Be sure to check out their wonderful blogs!
Overall I was really impressed with the PIXI makeup line and I am surprised I have not ventured into their makeup before! A lot of their products are definitely worth looking into, especially the Tinted Brilliance Balms and their Succulent Lip Twins. You can check out the makeup line in some of the larger Boots shops, their Pixi Store in Carnaby Street, or Asos.com.
