I bought a few beauty products over the last 2 weeks I've been in the US. These are products that I've never been able to find in the UK (and most probably will not be able to find in at least the next 5 years!). I bought my second lip balm from EOS, Make Up Forever HD Foundation, 3 eyeshadow palettes from Wet n Wild, and a pack of 2 crease brushes from Essence of Beauty. In this post, you might notice that I haven't written my actual reviews on the products, rather initial impressions at the most. I plan to write more thorough reviews as I gain more experience with these items.
EOS stands for Evolution of Smooth. My first EOS lip balm was in the flavour/scent Honeysuckle. It was a gift from a friend. It didn't make my lips tingle or itch, and I liked how it moisturises my lips and the lip balm's unusual shape. I passed by the local CVS here in Cleveland, and I found this other one in Summerfruit - I decided to try it. It smells of peaches (which unfortunately makes me feel kind of dizzy, but its ok). It also has blueberry and strawberry extracts. You can read more about it HERE.
MUFEHD Foundation has been a cult product and many beauty bloggers love it. This was the first time I was able to get my hands on it. My foundation shade match is 125. I've heard this looks lovely in pictures, making your face look pretty flawless. I noticed that every time temptalia uses it in a look, her skin looks amazing! I haven't used it in a look yet, but it seems promising. You can read more about it HERE.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Palettes in Vanity, Lust, Comfort Zone. After seeing these in online swatches from US beauty bloggers, I grew envious. These were so pretty but so far from my reach. I was so lucky to come across them in a CVS store during my visit, and I'm happy to have the chance to try them out! You can find more about it HERE.
Essence of Beauty Crease Brush Duo. I love a good crease brush. My HG crease brush is NB NaturalBeautycontouring eye brush, which I got from a mineral makeup set. It's the perfect brush to draw a crease on my not so deep set eyes. When I passed by this set of 2 crease brushes, I decided to try them. They were quite inexpensive too. They had 2 brushes: 1 crease brush and 1 fine crease brush. Their brush heads are a lot smaller than my HG NBNaturalBeauty brush and the MAC 219. They feel soft but firm, and look very promising! You can find more about them HERE.
