Maybelline 2-in-1 Impact Shadow Liner by Eyestudio Review

I stumbled upon these Maybelline 2-in-1 Impact Shadow Liner by Eyestudio at the mall, swatched them on my arms and then walked around a bit more. A few minutes later I tried to rub them of my hand and they didn't! They completely stayed put. I was so impressed. I returned to the counter and decided to pick out a few shades I would wear a lot, and I chose a shimmery white, Pearl White, and Chocolate Brown.

These pencils are so creamy and glide on your lids effortlessly. They last a long time. I put the shimmery white on my waterline in the morning, and by night it was still there. I'm very impressed, and I look forward to purchasing more of these!

Here are swatches:

A lot of people seem to be having problems sharpening this product and I just wanted to add this to the post for future reference. Even though its not made of wood (like the Urban Decay Eye pencils), this can be usually sharpened with standard makeup pencil sharpeners. I used the standard one from my local Boots and it was so easy to sharpen. The pencil itself is so soft - it is important not to overdo sharpening to avoid wasting the product.

Alternatively, you can use a small knife eg. swiss army knife or paring knife, to manually carve the pencil - just be careful not to cut yourself!

  1. super impressed by how pigmented they are. definitely giving some of the higher end brands and their new eye liners a run for their money x

  2. I love their pearl white and violet 2-in01 liners :D

  3. They look really nice! I'll have to check them out on my next drugstore trip! The white looks so pretty!

  4. I really, really like it! Amazing.

    Lot of love,

  5. how much??
    thanks for review
i want to try them too

  6. @faye lu- I definitely recommend these!

@Camilla- I bought these for around P359, + 20% off with the current sale at my local mall. :)

  7. i love the pearly white one! i always like adding white eyeliner to my lower lash line but the pencil i use always seems to fade later in the day, i think this pencil would be a good choice for me :)

  8. @Hannah- You will not regret trying these! :)

  9. the pearl white is really pretty, it really stands out!

  10. how do u sharpen it?

  11. Hi hun, you just sharpen it with a normal sized makeup pencil sharpener - I think even a good standard pencil sharpener would do.

  12. First I think it's not real wood. I can't sharpen it.

    Thanks for you advice.

  13. you have been provided us great information about eye makeup.
