MAC Refined Golden bronzer, NARS Laguna bronzer
I was finally able to get my hands on this product that's had so many raving reviews in the beauty world; it is NARS Laguna bronzer. Here I am comparing this to my to-go bronzer, which is MAC Refined Golden. Enjoy! x
These two bronzers are very interesting to review. If you look at both in the pans (as per photo above), Refined Golden has a lot of sparkles compared to Laguna, however if you swatch them, Refined Golden seems to lose its sparkles, well at least they're not so visible to me, but Laguna definitely leaves a sheen - as you can see in the photo below. In terms of pigmentation, Refined Golden seems more pigmented than Laguna, but they are both still easy to apply.
Talking about the colour, Refined Golden is definitely more yellow-toned and 'golden' compared to Laguna, which is more brown and a bit more neutral (more pink-toned).
I apply these bronzers as a contour on the hollows of my cheeks with a MAC 138 brush, which is a large tapered brush. This brush is so soft, and the shape is perfect for contouring. It applies and blends products seamlessly. It is definitely MUCH BETTER than the MAC 109 and the MAC 168 or 169 for contouring (which I have tried in the past!). Sigma Makeup also has much cheaper dupes of the products, including the MAC 138. This type of brush is seriously a must-have for contouring xx
