Hi everyone! I talked about my must-have face brushes in a previous post, and this one is about my must-have eye brushes. I have a lot more favourite eye brushes than face brushes, because I like to experiment with the different uses of each brushes, and find that they work well for multi-purposes, which is always a good thing. These are all MAC brushes, so I understand they can be a bit pricey. But as I mentioned in my previous post, they are all great quality, and I see no difference in them now compared to when I first acquired them! I take care of my belongings pretty well though, so that could partially be why, but I will try my best to describe these brushes to you so you can probably find good alternatives from other brands. Well keep reading for my review on the individual eye brushes!

Essential Eye Makeup Brushes; My Must-Haves! ♥

*Sorry about the mess in my room, I didn't bother to fix the clutter up lol.*
This is one of the very few fashion posts I've done on this blog; a lot less than I would like. Everyone who knows me think I have a pretty good sense of style, but its just a shame I couldn't share it with you all. Its mainly because the lighting in my room is not the best, and the sun sets quite early most of the year in London. However, now that its summer, I have the sun on my side, and I've just figured out camera settings to produce better night-time, indoor, poor-lighting photos! So, I am pleased to let you know that you can to expect a few more fashion posts from me now on. ♥ I picked up 4 things or packs of things: a dress, pack of nude tights, funky tights, and a pack of cute socks. Most for less than £5 each! I'm really happy with that. I don't usually splurge on clothes, and I take pride in budget-fashion lol! Keep reading for details! ♥

Fashion Post! Haul from Last Week ♥

Hi everyone! I’d like to share with you a two-post series of my must-have makeup brushes. This post will be about my favourite face brushes – the ones I use on a regular basis. The next post in this series will be about my essential eye makeup brushes. These are mostly MAC brushes, since I just love the quality. I’ve had some of them for over a year and I can see no difference in the quality compared to when I first had them! So they’re definitely worth the splurge. I also take care of my belongings well, so that might account for part of their longevity, and I use the MAC brush cleanser for these. I’ll rave about that in another post. I’ll concentrate on just the face brushes for now! I understand MAC brushes can be a bit pricey, so I will be describing them so that you might be able to find some cheaper alternatives from other brands. Well, keep reading to see my reviews on the individual products!

Essential Face Makeup Brushes; My Must-Haves! ♥

The weather's getting a lot warmer now, summer's almost here! And I wanted to celebrate its coming by doing a bold and bright-lipped Cheryl Cole inspired look! So here it is, I hope you like it ♥

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara

I've been using this mascara by Maybelline for quite a while now, and I must say it's my favourite mascara so far. I don't really see the point in shelling out so much money on high end mascaras, when its something you have to replace regularly (to avoid bacteria build up and consequent eye irritations/infections - maybe?) and with results that drugstore mascaras can also deliver. Among the drugstore brands, Maybelline and L'oreal mascaras have impressed me so far. My last favourite lash look consisted of a combination of L'oreal Double Extension with Serum Inside mascara primer (only) with Maybelline Collosal Volume mascara on top. That really gave me length and volume, without the clumps. I love big lashes, but I can't be bothered to use actual false ones.

MAC Made With Love lipstick
A bright coral pink (lustre)
LE from the Colour Craft collection

This lipstick is a lovely coral lipstick with bluish sparkles. I really liked it, but I didn't wear it too much, so I've just sold it to someone who might appreciate it more! ♥
What do you think? Do you like this colour? ♥

MAC Made With Love Lipstick

Here's a blue and lavender look using products from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection. I quite liked it. Hope you do too! ♥

I used:

MAC Soft Ochre paint pot
MAC eyeshadows in Yogurt (highlight), Birds and Berries (lid), Bough Grey (crease), Carbon (outer V)
MAC Black Russian pearlglide liner (black)
MAC Spiked brow pencil
Maybelline Falsies mascara

MAC Select Moisturecover concealer
MAC MSF Natural
MAC Prim and Proper blush (lower half of cheek apples)
MAC Summer Rose beauty powder (upper half of cheek apples)
MAC Pearl cream colour base (highlight)

MAC Blooming Lovely lipstick - blotted for a matte look (lip swatch below shows un-blotted)

Sorry about so many pictures! I got a little snap-happy this time :)

Birds and Berries turned out lighter blue than I expected, instead of a blue-green, which I don't like. It reminds me too much of Suave Intentions from last winter's Love Lace collection. Hmm.

And its the first time ever I've used my Carbon eyeshadow on myself! For you MAC-enthusiasts, this must be really strange, huh? I used it on my bf's Halloween look before, but I've never really used it on myself. I used to be really intimidated by it, and now, I think I'll be using it on the outer V more often. Its a lovely colour! A matte black. The texture's great too; if I'm semi-careful, I don't have to worry about applying too much!

Oh incase you didn't know, I always put my makeup on in the order that they're listed. So if you want to re-create this look, well, at least you know the order I applied them. Helps me too when I want to do it again :)

How do you feel about the larger face photos? Do you prefer this or the smaller ones? ♥

China Glaze B-Girlz (flash)

I love this nail polish! Its a creamy hot pink with a hint of purple shimmer. The camera flash really brings out the purple shimmer like in the photo above, but without flash, it looks like this:

China Glaze B-Girlz (no flash)

This applied beautifully, and required 2 coats to achieve this. I'm really liking this formula ♥

What do you think? Do you wear colours like this? ♥

Alright, I caved. I bought it. It's MAC's eyeshadow in Bough Grey from the MAC Give Me Liberty of London collection, and actually, I'm glad I did. I've been using this quite a lot in the past week - more than I've been using Birds and Berries eyeshadow. Its a very wearable colour, even for working in a lab!

I'm sure you've probably seen a lot of swatches from the other blogs. Bough Grey is a greenish gray colour that is a satin finish - kinda matte with a slight sheen. I love using this on the crease.

Like most satin-finish eyeshadows, it comes out sheer at first, but they're really buildable. I think satin finish eyeshadows are my favourite at the moment. They're a lot easier to wear for everyday as opposed to shimmery veluxe pearl ones; one of my most used eyeshadows, Cork, is a satin! ♥

I hope this short post was helpful somehow. What do you think? ♥

China Glaze Preppy Pink - 3 coats

China Glaze Preppy Pink is one of the China Glaze glitters. It's a light peachy pink with multicoloured glitters. It looks very pretty in the bottle, but honestly I wasn't too impressed. It just looked like peachy pink polish over sugar crystals stuck on my nails. The glitter wasn't so pretty :( Although, I think this would have looked better on top of other similar coloured polishes, as opposed to alone :3

The wear was terrible too. It chipped within 24 hours. This one definitely needs a top coat. ♥ And as with most glitter polishes, you need a bit of scrubbing action or a really strong polish remover to get this one off.

What do you think? Have you tried China Glaze Preppy Pink? ♥

MAC Flowerplay lipstick
A peachy pink lustre with a subtle shimmer
LE from the MAC Strange Hybrid collection

This is quite a unique shade for MAC I think. Its in between coral and pink in terms of colour. It has a moisturising lustre finish. It's very pretty ♥ I haven't been using it much though, so I just sold it to a lovely reader who wanted it! But if you're on a hunt for pretty LE MAC lipsticks, this should be on your list! x

I've been meaning to do this look for ages! But I wanted to wait until I busted out my green contacts since Kristen's natural eyes are greenish-grey, and then once I did, I had to wait until I had the opportunity in my busy life! Smokey eyes using a green-brown duochrome eyeshadow from Too Faced. Its really pretty, sultry and sexy. A different way to wear smokey eyes! I hope you enjoy this one xx

I used:

MAC Soft Ochre paint pot
MAC eyeliner in Black Russian (black with sparkles, upper lash line)
MAC eyeshadows in Nanogold (pale peach/pink duochrome, highlight), Cork (warm mid-tone brown, crease)
Too Faced eyeshadow in Label Whore (brown-green duochrome, lid) - also patted a bit of Nanogold on top of Label Whore in the middle of my lid to make that area pop a bit
MAC Brow pencil in Spiked
Maybelline Falsies mascara

MAC Face and Body foundation - I love this stuff!
MAC MSF Natural
MAC Sun and Moon mineralized blush
MAC Pearl cream colour base

MAC Peachstock lipstick - blotted for a matte effect.

And for reference, here's my inspiration!

I used Too Faced Label Whore eyeshadow, which is similar to MAC Club eyeshadow in the permanent line. However, I do believe Label Whore is a lot better. Its more pigmented, really smooth and easy to apply. I reviewed it here before.

I'm not really a fan of Kristen, because I believe her acting sucks. (Sorry to the fans!) But she has improved a bit in the second Twilight film though compared to the first one. I do think she is quite pretty, and with long hair and brown contacts, she really looks the part of Bella Swan!

I hope you enjoyed this look. Let me know what you think! ♥

OPI Lucky Lucky Lavender

Hi everyone! I'm happy to share with you my new favourite nail polish. I'm sure other bloggers have raved about this one too. Its OPI's Lucky Lucky Lavender. Its my first ever pinky-lavender nail polish, and it just looks so pretty. Perfect for spring!

I'm also really impressed with OPI's quality. This polish lasted me a week without chipping at all! No base or top coat. It probably would have lasted longer if I hadn't changed it haha ♥

I urge you to try it out. Its super pretty!

What is your favourite nail polish? ♥
